So I initially met Tori and Andrew at Sheffield Botanical gardens for a pre wedding shoot, we wandered around the foliage and discussed their plans for the day. I knew from the get go a couple of important things; They like good music, good food and good beer, we all know when combined this is a great base for a perfect wedding and i’ll be honest, it really was!

I turned up in a rainy Sheffield to capture some shots of the ladies getting ready, perfectly relaxed in the hands of Liverpools So Coco Rouge sorting hair and make up. All sorted Tori stepped into her beautiful lace dress and finished the outfit off with the most perfect combination of Brown Brogues and Owl socks, summing up Tori perfectly.

Luckily Sheffield Town Hall was just around the corner as it was hammering it down, a quick jog over with some strong umbrellas and we were all quickly settled in the Hall ready for Tori to take the epic first steps up the simply stupendous Town Hall steps, long veil trailing dramatically behind. Inside the ceremony room Andrew beamed on seeing Tori arrive with James Blakes cover of Joni Mitchell’s A Case of You filling the room, the serious stuff got quickly underway. Some lovely readings from Andrews dad and a Dr. Seuss quote from a friend wrapped up the ceremony.

With the vows in the bag and confetti done and dusted the whole wedding party took a stroll over to The Old House for nibbles and a few rounds, I snapped some great shots of the newlyweds on route too. Soon the coaches arrived and ferried the guests over to the reception venue, Lomas Hall, a lovely unique venue based in Stannington, perfect for any couple wanting to add their stamp to a venue.

The woodlands surrounding the venue were screaming for some portraits and Tori and Andrew had already told me of their love for the outdoors so we headed out for some shots in the woods with the beautiful Yorkshire landscape framing the background. Going back to Tori and Andrew being an ace couple they very thoughtfully bought me some local beer as they knew I am a major beer nerd.

Now it’s fair to say Tori and Andrew had great vision and the list of things they created were endless but from the ‘best day so far’ balloon, to the windings cake table sign, every detail reflected them as a couple perfectly. The Mexican themed photobooth with Andrew face masks went down a storm, as did the cake table that Tori baked up before the wedding even considering most guests and making sure everything was vegan so nobody missed out (although you had to be quick to get in there, I blinked and missed it!)

Food was in the form of Mexican Burritos and was enjoyed before the ace speeches kicked in. With the speeches done and everyone laughed out it was time for Andrew & Tori to cut into her ace cakes and then head onto the dance floor for some Darwin Deez. With the dance-floor kicking off there were some Arctic Monkeys themed flip flops loaded and good to go for the inevitably weary feet.

As I was packing up the Jaegermeister was flowing and the dancefloor was packed, I can guarantee it was a good night, because it was a belting day!
