I love photographing at venues like Talton Lodge. Having already shot a wedding there I knew what to expect, yet with the flexibility, they offer it’s perfect for couples to really dig in and make the available spaces their own. Hannah and Dave certainly did that. Making use of the house for the wedding ceremony, they planned an outdoor service with a great combination of mismatched chairs and a couple of hay bails for good measure. With some good planning Hannah had a prime location overlooking the guests arriving and was able to grab the odd sneak peak from the window of Dave waiting. The special guest for the ceremony was Marley, Hannah and Dave’s Bulldog, who was, sort of, well behaved and only tried to get involved in the ceremony a few times. Hannah worked with Soon Bride to design a dress that had personal touches, including daisy embroidery which matched the daisies in her hair.

After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed drinks in the sun, before heading over the road to the walled garden for the wedding reception. Hannah & Dave created a nice chilled festival feel with everyone receiving a wristband, and custom tie-die t-shirt. A nod to Dave’s dad who used to sell them at festivals. The evening progressed with some ace speeches, and live music before heading out onto the lawn for a massive bonfire and dancing.
