When Mary and Paul first got in touch and told me they were planing a relaxed wedding with the focus being on having plenty of fun, perfect! that’s just the kind of day I like to cover. The ceremony and reception were held at Castle Grove Masonic Hall in Headingley just on the outskirts of leeds. Having lived just round the corner in the past I hadn’t heard of the venue, but tucked away at the end of a little street it’s a lovely venue with plenty of hidden areas inside for photos. They decided on a colourful vintage style to the day, Mary’s bouquet was made up of vibrant colourful flowers, while the bridesmaids had a small bunch of sunflowers working beautifully against their dresses. For the Wedding dress Mary visited Glory Days in York and selected an original vintage lace dress. To tie everything together nicely the groomsmen all had a skinny floral tie, and grey suits.

Not wanting to do things by halves when it came to the wedding breakfast they had not one, but three wedding cakes! Selecting a tiered pork pie, selection of cupcakes and finally, a surprise for Paul, a UFC cake featuring them battling it out. The evening progressed forward with the dance floor filling from partway through the first dance and didn’t empty well into the night.
